About this Speaker
Ana Simion has been playing with data in all different shapes, sizes and structures over the last decade.
She currently serves as the CEO of INRO London, a product design company in London specialising in the design and craft of bespoke leather goods. She also serves as the Institute Director and Chief Data Scientist at INRO’s in house research institute, The Simion Institute of Innovation: a research centre focusing on tackling the most pressing issues in the fashion and design landscape, whether it be exploring the use of computer vision in understanding textile properties to product design innovation and new product development.
Her areas of expertise and interests focus around mixed realities and computer vision in fashion design retail as well as utilising machine learning in building sustainable supply chains.
Alongside the day job, Ana sits on numerous industry advisory boards at numerous leading UK universities in the emerging technologies and design space. Furthermore, she’s spoken at major summits including London Tech Week and Women in AI virtual. She’s also been featured on numerous podcasts, including Corinium's Business of Data podcast. In amongst this, she guest lectures to numerous universities on topics ranging from post-PhD subject specific seminars to discussing the wider use of emerging technologies in the fashion and design space.
In her spare time, Ana is an avid photographer with particular interests in black and white industrial imagery. On a good day, you might even see her up in the Cuillin mountain range on the Scottish island, the Isle of Skye, traversing the 11 kilometre ridge!
